EK Bare is not a brand of potatoes or a grower of potatoes, but a broker of potatoes. One of the largest, in fact. Chances are, if you live in the United States, you eat their spuds all the time and without knowing it. I sure didn’t—and their offices are a two minute drive from my house.

I just never get tired of finding out that these ultra-niche businesses exist.

We also helped EK Bare launch a new project, Bird-in-Hand Potato Company. Instead of selling to big food plants, Bird-in-Hand Potato Company sells 50 pound sacks of specialty potatoes to restaurants. Which meant that I got to write trade-show copy talking up two very special tubers.
